On May 1, 2022, the Spanish maritime rescue organization, Salvamento Marítimo, deployed the SAR vessel 'Salvamar Arcturus' to respond to a drifting migrant in the Strait of Cádiz. The incident took place when the ferry 'Miramar Express', navigating the route between Algeciras and Tanger-Med, reported a concerning sighting to the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC) in Tarifa around 3:15 p.m. The report detailed a man adrift, lying face down on a toy boat and equipped with fins, prompting immediate action. The ferry halted its engines and launched a rescue boat in response. The 'Salvamar Arcturus' arrived at the scene promptly at 4:00 p.m. and successfully retrieved the individual, who was identified as North African and wearing neoprene attire. Fortunately, he was conscious during the rescue operation. After ensuring his safety, the vessel proceeded to transport him back to the Port of Algeciras.

In a strategic move to enhance its fleet, Stena RoRo has successfully negotiated a long-term charter agreement with the Finnish shipping powerhouse Godby Shipping. This deal encompasses three of Godby Shipping's versatile RoRo (Roll on/Roll off) vessels: Misida, Misana, and Miranda. The adaptable design of these vessels enables them to operate efficiently within both the Stena RoRo and Stena Line networks, maximizing operational flexibility and capacity. This collaboration marks a significant step for Stena RoRo as they expand their offerings in the maritime transport sector.

On May 6, 2011, the cargo vessel 'Miranda' set sail from Rauma, bound for Amsterdam and Santander. However, shortly after departure, the ship encountered issues with its fuel system, necessitating an unscheduled stop in Hanko for urgent repairs. The vessel arrived at Hanko on May 8 and, after two days of essential maintenance, departed again on May 10. Unfortunately, the repairs were incomplete, prompting 'Miranda' to return to Rauma for additional work and to unload her cargo. The next departure from Rauma is now projected for May 22.
