Composed of 13 Russian and Georgian crew members, the vessel has been anchored for an entire month off the coast of Saint-Brieuc and subsequently another month in Douarnenez Bay and Brest. Scheduled to leave in tow this week, the team aboard has faced a challenging situation without setting foot on land during this period. On December 10, 2023, at 8 p.m., the tug 'Serval' (IMO: 7636365) docked in Brest to assist the damaged tanker 'Larus'. The 'Larus', which had incurred damages, was previously towed to Brest by the tug 'Abeille Bourbon' from the Bay of Saint-Brieuc on the night of December 7. The 'Serval' embarked from Gdynia on November 30 and is set to facilitate the tanker’s transit to a repair yard.
