Working Conditions Aboard the Lin-9

On the afternoon of March 1, 2023, a dramatic rescue took place 40 nautical miles west of the picturesque Cíes Islands. The fishing vessel 'Coral Lameda', en route from Vada to Wandelar, required immediate medical attention for a crew member who fell ill during the journey. Swiftly responding to the emergency, the Pesca 1 helicopter was dispatched for a medevac operation. The crew member was successfully hoisted aboard the helicopter and subsequently transferred to Álvaro Cunqueiro hospital for further medical care.
