The incident occurred around 05:30 a.m. UTC when the vessel began displaying signs of an erratic course, leading to concerns that it may have been boarded. By 10:30 a.m., the LNG Lagos II had regained some stability and was making its way towards its intended destination in Bonny, cruising at a speed of 15.7 knots. The tanker is projected to arrive by December 21, 2020.
