The incident transpired roughly nine nautical miles southwest of the Isle of Canna, located at coordinates 57°03'N, 006°56.5'W. DFDS Discontinues Moss-Bilbao-Immingham Cargo Service Amid Market Challenges

Jul 08, 2012 11:55

In light of ongoing fragile market conditions and the recent closure of a significant client in the paper industry, DFDS has announced the termination of its Moss – Bilbao - Immingham cargo route. Vidar Karlsen, Vice President at DFDS, expressed deep regret regarding the decision, particularly for the loyal customers of the service. "Despite the diligent efforts made by our team, the anticipated improvements in the market have not materialized, which has led us to this difficult conclusion," Karlsen stated. This route has primarily relied on the operation of the side port vessels LYSBRIS and LYSVIK SEAWAYS, focusing on the transportation of paper, general cargo, and containers. The company remains committed to serving its clients in other capacity as it adjusts to the evolving market landscape.
