Castor Maritime Secures Sale and Leaseback for 'Magic Perseus'
Cyprus-based shipping company Castor Maritime has finalized a sale and leaseback arrangement for its Kamsarmax vessel, the 'Magic Perseus', with a Japanese partner. This strategic transaction is set to conclude in January 2026 and involves bareboat financing of $15.6 million. The agreement spans an 11-year term and grants the Japanese counterpart a put option at the end of the eighth year. Castor Maritime also retains a purchase option, effective from the conclusion of the second year of the bareboat charter. With a diversified fleet of nine vessels, Castor Maritime boasts an impressive aggregate capacity of approximately 600,000 deadweight tons (dwt), enhancing its operational capabilities in the maritime industry.

Exciting New Period Charter Secured for Bunge Vessel
A fresh period charter has been successfully established for a vessel operated by Bunge. The delivery is scheduled for February 15 - 16 from Qingdao, with the charter term ranging between three to six months. The vessel will be available for worldwide redelivery. For the initial 45 days, the charter rate is set at $9,500, followed by an increased rate of $14,000 for the remainder of the charter period.
