The Marieke: Crew Feedback and Vessel Data

DEME's German subsidiary, Nordsee Nassbagger und Tiefbau GmbH, has successfully landed a significant joint venture contract for a two-year maintenance dredging project on the entire 116 km stretch of the River Elbe, which connects the North Sea to Hamburg. The operations will commence with the deployment of the trailer suction hopper dredger Marieke, following its current engagement in reclamation works for the port expansion in Cuxhaven, also situated along the Elbe. Moreover, with Nordsee Nassbagger und Tiefbau simultaneously working on a two-year maintenance dredging project on the River Weser, they are ensuring adequate navigational depths for the port of Bremerhaven. This strategic initiative positions DEME as a key player in maintaining the vital fairways leading to two of Germany’s largest container ports.
