Working Conditions Aboard the Marine-Dynamo

On September 1, 2025, a maritime collision occurred involving the 'Marine Dynamo' and the Malta-flagged bulk carrier 'Flag Gangos' (IMO: 9643908). The incident took place approximately eight kilometers south of Tanah Merah at 9:25 a.m. Fortunately, both ships remained stable, and all crew members were quickly accounted for, though one individual from the 'Marine Dynamo' sustained minor bruises and sprains and received on-board medical attention. Following the collision, light oil sheens were observed near the 'Marine Dynamo' due to a spill of marine gas oil (MGO) from the service tank located above the waterline. The MPA has stated that the oil is expected to evaporate and bio-degrade swiftly in the surrounding environment. In response to the spill, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) deployed patrol and spill-response craft to investigate and manage the situation, including efforts to disperse the oil sheens. Drones were also utilized to monitor the environmental impact of the incident. Navigational broadcasts were issued to passing vessels, ensuring there was no threat to maritime safety. The MPA has commenced a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision. The 'Marine Dynamo' is currently anchored at coordinates 01° 11' N 103° 46' E, while the 'Flag Gangos' is positioned at 01° 17' N 104° 02' E.
