On March 17, 2019, the vessel 'Mariona,' which was making its way from Iskenderun, encountered technical difficulties during its journey. The ship was subsequently diverted to the Cesme anchorage for necessary repairs. As of 7:45 p.m. that evening, the crew was actively conducting repair work while the Mariona remained anchored at Cesme. Following the completion of repairs, the vessel set sail from Alexandria on April 6.

On November 19, 2018, the bulk carrier Mariona experienced a technical failure while navigating from Port Said to Nikolayev in ballast condition. Seeking refuge, the vessel successfully made its way to Cesme anchorage under its own power. The dedicated crew promptly initiated repairs to address the issue. As of November 20, the Mariona remained securely moored in the anchorage, continuing to carry out necessary maintenance.
