On February 5, 2019, the vessel 'Medkon Sinop' encountered an engine failure while docked in Mersin, Turkey. In response to this incident, the Turkish tugboat 'Ocean Ergun' (IMO: 7222102) was designated to tow the stricken ship to Tuzla shipyard, with the towing operations commencing on February 10. As the fleet navigated through the Canakkale Strait, a coastal safety tug provided essential escort services to ensure the safety of both the vessel and strait traffic. On February 19, 'Medkon Sinop' safely reached Tuzla anchorage early in the morning and successfully berthed at the shipyard pier at 1 p.m., following the completion of necessary formalities. A comprehensive damage survey is set to be conducted by the owners' superintendent in collaboration with Class surveyors. Subsequently, the vessel departed from the port on April 1 at 1:10 p.m., initially setting course for Izmit. It continued its journey to Gemlik, where it docked at the Roda Liman Container Terminal at 6 a.m. on April 2.

On September 10, 2018, the cargo vessel 'Medkon Sinop', sailing from Alexandria to Gemlik, encountered significant engine trouble while navigating the busy Bosphorus Strait. The incident prompted the crew to securely anchor the vessel at Karanlik Liman at around 7 p.m. Thankfully, the crew was able to address the technical issues promptly. Following successful repairs, 'Medkon Sinop' resumed its voyage and docked safely in Gemlik on September 12, 2018.
