On July 6, 2020, Belgian law enforcement made a substantial drug discovery involving 37 kilograms of cocaine aboard the cargo vessel 'Ultra Daniela.' The ship had just docked in Ghent after its journey from Barranquilla, Colombia. Authorities uncovered a black bag containing multiple packages of cocaine cleverly concealed within a shipment of coal. Four individuals were apprehended at the scene, including three Belgian nationals and one Albanian, as they attempted to retrieve the concealed bag. Dressed in port worker jackets and helmets, the suspects were equipped with specialized tools designed to search for hidden items in the coal hold.
