With eight crew members on board, immediate assistance was required. The response team deployed the tugboat 'Fotini' to tow the distressed vessel safely to the port of Piraeus. By the morning of January 19, "NS Tera" had successfully reached the shipyard in Piraeus. Following standard procedures, the Central Port Authority of Piraeus has prohibited the vessel from departing until the necessary repairs are completed and a class maintenance certificate is presented from the relevant classification society overseeing the ship's compliance.

On January 3, 2018, a significant maritime incident occurred in Antikyra when the vessel 'NS Tera' experienced a mechanical failure, resulting in a loss of control during a maneuver. The mishap led to the bow of the 'NS Tera' colliding with the stern of the stationary bulk carrier 'Delphi Ranger', causing noticeable damage to both vessels. Following the incident, both ships were scheduled for a thorough inspection. As of the morning of January 4, the 'NS Tera' and 'Delphi Ranger' remained in Antikyra waters, awaiting assessment of the damage. The 'NS Tera' eventually made its way to Perama, where it arrived on January 8 for further evaluation and repairs.
