In May 2012, a vessel found itself detained at the Liverpool port by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) for a period of fourteen days. This action was prompted by numerous deficiencies indicating significant lapses in the implementation of the International Safety Management (ISM) Code onboard the ship. Notably, there were failures to conduct essential annual surveys, including those required for International Air Pollution Prevention, International Oil Pollution Prevention, Load Line assessments, Cargo Ship Safety Construction, Cargo Ship Safety Equipment, and the Annual Class Survey. Additional issues included considerable corrosion in several sections of the bowthruster ventilation pipe, the absence of the Civil Liability for Bunker Pollution Certificate, and an unapproved searchlight for the rescue boat. As of May 31, 2012, the vessel remained under detention but was ultimately released in early June 2012.
