Abandoned Ferry 'Boraq' Set for Auction in Algeciras
The Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras has announced that the idle ferry 'Boraq' will go under the hammer on June 27, 2023, at 11 a.m. This vessel has remained inactive at the Isla Verde pier since 2016. The auction's starting bid is set at 3,200,000 Euros, slightly higher than the purchase price the Inter Shipping company paid in mid-May 2016 to acquire the ferry. Prospective buyers will need to prepare their offers, which can be submitted until June 9, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Interested parties must hand in their documentation to the Legal Services Department of the Port Authority to participate in the bidding process.
