In a startling maritime incident, the tanker 'Elisabet' was involved in a collision with the cargo vessel 'Baita Jaya Samudera', a 1600 dwt ship (IMO: 8713108), early in the morning on April 7, 2017. The incident took place in waters off Thousand Islands, located northwest of Jakarta. Following the collision, the 'Elisabet' suffered significant damage, leading to a hull breach on the starboard side and causing the vessel to list precariously.
