On October 1, 2025, the vessel 'Arctic Hunter' was detained in Cuxhaven due to a staggering 18 deficiencies, with nine identified as serious enough to warrant its detention. Key issues included unsafe structural conditions related to electrical installations, along with critical failures in alarm systems for unmanned machinery spaces (UMS) and navigation safety equipment such as the magnetic compass. Additional fire safety concerns were raised, including non-operative fire dampers, fire doors that did not meet the required standards, and deficiencies in the fire detection and alarm systems.
