Luxury Yacht Comes to the Aid of Stranded German Crew Near Poros
On the morning of September 22, 2020, the crew aboard the German yacht 'Lady of Chantry' faced a dire situation as they reported water ingress northeast of Poros. In response to the emergency call, a Greek patrol boat was dispatched alongside the vessel ‘Liakos’. The luxury yacht 'My Eden' (MMSI: 319136600), which was on its way from Nafplion to Vouliagmeni, arrived at the scene first and successfully rescued the two crew members who had abandoned their ship. After their rescue, they were transferred onto the 'Liakos' and subsequently brought to safety in Poros, showing no signs of distress. Fortunately, the 'Lady of Chantry' sank without causing any pollution in the surrounding waters.
