On November 25, 2018, at 11:24 a.m., the bulk carrier 'Nea Tyhi' experienced a blackout while navigating the River Paraná, resulting in a collision with the VITCO oil pier at the Zarate port complex. At the time of the incident, the vessel was en route downstream from San Lorenzo to Bahia Blanca, transporting a substantial load of 50,000 metric tonnes of soybean seeds from the ADM berth.
