Ferry operations to the picturesque Nekselø Island in the Sejerø Bight have been halted since the morning of April 15, 2022, due to operational challenges aboard the ferry 'Nekselø'. The municipal ferry service, Sejerøbugtens Færger, announced that there will be no ferry connections to or from the island until April 18. Starting then, a temporary ferry solution will be introduced with the motorboat 'Havklit'. This smaller vessel can accommodate a limited number of passengers but is unfortunately unable to transport any vehicles. The 'Havklit' will operate on Mondays and Tuesdays, and will have additional service from April 29 to May 2. As a result, permanent residents and holiday home owners who have brought their cars to Nekselø face uncertainty about retrieving their vehicles during this disruption.
