Since March 2020, the vessel has been officially known as Noorddijk, reflecting its new chapter at sea. The rebranding symbolizes a new era for the ship, aiming to enhance its operational capabilities and maritime presence.

On December 22, 2011, the vessel Lieke experienced a fire in its superstructure while situated approximately 30 nautical miles WNW of Finisterre, Spain, in the Bay of Biscay. The crew successfully extinguished the fire; however, the vessel remained incapacitated as a result. In a bid for aid, Lieke reached out for assistance. Although authorities in La Coruna planned to dispatch the salvage tug Don Inda, the vessel's owner chose instead to contract the commercial tug Ria de Vigo. Ultimately, Ria de Vigo responded to the distress call and meticulously towed the disabled Lieke toward Arousa, Galicia, with an estimated arrival time of the morning on December 23.
