According to a company announcement, a subsidiary of Diana Shipping has signed a time charter contract with Koch Shipping Pte Ltd, based in Singapore, for one of its dry bulk carriers, the M/V New Orleans. The contract stipulates a gross charter rate of $11,250 per day, deducting a 5% fee for third-party commissions, for a duration ranging from twelve to a maximum of sixteen months. This charter is set to commence on December 10, 2016. The M/V New Orleans is a formidable vessel, boasting a deadweight tonnage of 180,960 dwt and built in 2015.
