On Wednesday, a new full-rigged training vessel purchased from Poland touched down at the port in Nha Trang, as reported by VnExpress. The vessel, which honors the legacy of the renowned 18th-century Vietnamese poet and philosopher Le Quy Don (1726-1784), was constructed by Marine Projects Ltd., a Polish shipyard, following a contract initiated in July 2014. The agreement not only encompassed the construction of the ship but also included provisions for training the Vietnamese crew. After being launched last June, the ship completed a remarkable 125-day journey to Vietnam, carrying a diverse crew consisting of both Polish and Vietnamese members. The official commissioning of the vessel at the naval academy is expected to take place following a ceremonial flag raising scheduled for March.
