Toyo Maru No. 88 Collides with Tone Maru No. 8 in Chiba Incident
In the early hours of July 13, 2019, the 'Toyo Maru No. 88' collided with the at-anchor cargo vessel 'Tone Maru No. 8' (IMO: 8735352) off the coast of Chiba at approximately 3:50 a.m. Fortunately, both ships sustained only minor damage to their bows, and there were no reports of any environmental spills. Following the incident, the tanker made its way to Yokohama, arriving on July 17.
