Working Conditions Aboard the Norge

On February 2, 2023, the assistive vessel 'Norge', while traveling from Haugesund to Horten, sprang into action to aid a pleasure boat engulfed in flames in Karm Sound. The incident unfolded in the afternoon when a distress signal was issued after bystanders spotted smoke rising south of Bukkøy in the Karmøy municipality. Fortunately, the situation was swiftly managed, leading to the smoking yacht being secured and subsequently towed by another recreational vessel. The lifeboat 'Horn Rescue' also played a crucial role, arriving promptly to support the operation.
