Normand-Australis Ship Details and Seafarer Feedback

A 57-year-old Filipino maritime worker aboard the 'Normand Australis' has tested positive for COVID-19 after arriving at Tuas Port in Singapore on November 18, 2020. This crew member was placed in a government quarantine facility starting November 22, having remained on the ship since its docking. Before boarding, he underwent a pre-departure COVID-19 test on November 2, which yielded a negative result. Following the arrival of the ship, which had 18 crew members onboard, all were tested on November 19, with results confirming that the other members were COVID-free. As a safety measure, all crew members entered quarantine while the affected individual was transferred for further monitoring. Currently asymptomatic, this crew member was retested during quarantine, with his serological test later confirming a positive result. As of December 5, the vessel continues to remain stationary in Singapore, while authorities manage the situation diligently.
