On the morning of August 13, 2023, the vessel 'Marbi - O33' embarked on its trial sail for the first time since it slid off a slipway during minor repair works in May. The incident resulted in significant damage to both the ship and the slipway. After extensive efforts, including the use of multiple cranes on floating pontoons, the ship was successfully realigned. During the recent trials, an additional issue with the winch surfaced. To address this, a specialized firm is scheduled to inspect the winch on August 14 at Baales Quay in Oostende. Following the inspection, further tests will be conducted to ensure that the Marbi - O33 is fully prepared for sailing.
