BHP Billiton has successfully finalized a new charter for the transportation of iron ore. The agreement involves the shipment of 170,000 tons of ore from Port Hedland, Australia, to Qingdao, China. The loading operations will handle 80,000 tons under shinc (shore and in charter) conditions, while the discharge will be for 30,000 tons under the same terms.
