Oceanex Connaigra Faces Propeller Hub Setback Again
The Oceanex Connaigra is set to be taken out of service for the second time since its arrival in St. John's back in October 2013. To ensure continuity in maritime operations between St. John's and Montreal, the Oceanex Avalon will be reinstated to its original sailing schedule in Montreal. This decision comes as the Oceanex Connaigra heads to dry dock due to a recurring systems malfunction, reminiscent of issues experienced last fall. During that previous incident, the vessel was temporarily docked in Boston for repairs on its main propeller hub system. After completing its final journey from Montreal to St. John's on April 18, the Oceanex Connaigra will return to dry dock as a precautionary measure. In a bid to maintain its regular schedule, the company also plans to bring back the Oceanex Cabot to its previous Tuesday service in Montreal starting April 22, followed by the Oceanex Avalon returning to its Montreal route on April 25.

The planned departure from Montreal is set for January 31, where the Oceanex Connaigra will continue its journey to St. John's.
