Bibby Offshore has clinched a significant multi-million-dollar contract with a reputable independent exploration and production (E&P) company based in the UK. This exciting partnership involves providing essential air diving, remotely operated vehicle (ROV) inspection, and construction services across five strategically located assets in the North Sea. The contract, which kicked off in June 2016, is slated for completion by the end of this year. To deliver on this extensive project, Bibby Offshore will deploy a fleet of specialized vessels, including the construction support vessel Olympic Ares, diving support vessel Bibby Topaz, and subsea support and construction vessel Olympic Bibby. The scope of work encompasses vital vessel-based engineering tasks, such as installing a cathodic protection system on one platform, along with performing comprehensive air diving services for both routine and non-routine inspection, repair, and maintenance support at three additional facilities. Furthermore, the company will be conducting regular pipeline inspection surveys across all five assets.
