The Orel-4: Crew Feedback and Vessel Data

On December 19, 2016, at 2:15 PM, three freighters faced an unexpected halt due to ice conditions on the Volga River, specifically at kilometer mark 2969 while on their way downstream to Astrakhan. The vessels caught in the icy grasp were identified as the 'Orel 4', 'Elegance', and 'Terek 1'. Fortunately, no damages were reported during this incident. In response to the situation, the vessel owners quickly arranged for an icebreaker to assist in liberating the stuck ships.

On the evening of June 12, 2014, the cargo ship Orel-4 encountered trouble while navigating the Volga River. The vessel, carrying 2,870 tons of grain, ran aground at the 2,797 km mark in the Astrakhan Region, as reported by Odin.tc. Fortunately, the Orel-4 became stuck at the edge of the fairway with no reported damages, and maritime traffic in the area remained unaffected.
