This vessel marks the second Very Large Ore Carrier (VLOC) handed over to Vale this year and the third in the series overall. This delivery is part of a substantial $1.6 billion contract that Vale secured in 2008 to construct a total of twelve VLOCs, enhancing its capabilities in transporting iron ore efficiently across the seas.
