In a troubling string of armed robberies at sea, two incidents involving ships were recorded by the ReCAAP Information Sharing Centre (ISC) between April 22 and April 25, 2025. Both events occurred while bulk carriers were navigating through the Traffic Separation Scheme (TSS) in the Singapore Strait, specifically off Pulau Cula. Thankfully, no crew members were harmed during these alarming breaches of security. On April 22, at approximately 11:00 PM, the bulk carrier 'Panagia Force' became the target of a brazen attack. Four armed intruders, wielding knives, boarded the vessel while it was positioned at coordinates 1° 5.4' N, 103° 34.42' E, located around 8.8 nautical miles from Pulau Cula. In a swift and disturbing maneuver, the assailants restrained the crew and proceeded to steal engine spare parts along with personal belongings, raising serious concerns about maritime safety and the need for enhanced protection measures in the region.

On October 15, 2019, a new charter has been finalized to transport 75,000 metric tons of coal from Baltimore, USA to Kandla, India. The loading is scheduled from October 15 to October 25, 2019, with a freight rate set at $29.97 per ton, fixed on a free in and out (fio) basis. The charter will include the loading of 25,000 metric tons shinc (shippers' invoice) and the discharge of the same weight, under the management of XCoal.
