AHT Pegasus Joins Forces with Les Abeilles in Cherbourg for Emergency Towage
On May 18, 2014, the Anchor Handling Tug (AHT) Pegasus, a notable asset of the German company Harms Bergung, began its hire with Les Abeilles, a prominent French marine operation representing the French Navy. The Pegasus has taken over as the emergency response vessel in Cherbourg, France, for approximately two weeks, serving as a temporary replacement for the Abeille Liberte, which is undergoing scheduled Class maintenance in Dunkirk. The successful arrangement for this vessel replacement was orchestrated by Samuel Stewart and Co, recognized as the world's leading towage brokers. With a Bollard Pull of 100, the Pegasus, alongside her sister ship Centaurus, stands out as one of the smallest AHTs in the Harms Bergung fleet, yet is fully equipped to handle critical maritime tasks.
