Uniper has successfully finalized a new charter agreement for a vessel, set to commence operations in Taichung. The charter is scheduled to take place from April 11, with an expected duration of 14 to 16 months. The agreed-upon rate for this charter is $11,000 per day, marking a significant deal for Uniper in the maritime sector.

On March 10, 2019, the vessel 'Phaidra' encountered an engine failure while navigating through the Trincomali Channel located in British Columbia. The incident occurred at the coordinates 49°02'53.0" N, 123°39'46.0" W around 11:55 p.m. Following the failure, the crew made the decision to return to anchorage to carry out necessary repairs on the vessel. After completing the repairs, the 'Phaidra' successfully berthed in Vancouver on March 14.

Diana Shipping Inc., a leader in the dry bulk shipping sector, proudly announces a new time charter agreement for one of its distinguished Post-Panamax vessels, the m/v Phaidra. This contract, secured through a wholly-owned subsidiary, is with Uniper Global Commodities SE based in Düsseldorf. Under the terms of the agreement, the m/v Phaidra will earn a gross charter rate of $12,700 per day, with a 5% commission to be paid to third parties, spanning a commitment of at least twelve months and up to fifteen months. The charter officially began on January 13, 2018. Previously, the m/v Phaidra was under a charter with Jera Trading Singapore Pte. Ltd. at a rate of $7,750 per day, also subject to a 5% commission. This impressive vessel, weighing in at 87,146 dwt, was constructed in 2013 and is expected to generate approximately $4.57 million in gross revenue over the minimum duration of this new charter.
