The car carrier vessel 'Polaris Leader' has been adrift in the Bay of Bengal since June 11, 2015. Located approximately 550 miles west of Phuket Island, this incident occurred while the ship was en route from Djibouti. Having departed from the container terminal on June 1, it was originally bound for Laem Chabang, where it was scheduled to load a shipment of vehicles. However, there has been a change in the destination, and the current port of call is now Singapore.
