POSH has further solidified its position as a premier provider of offshore accommodation services with the recent delivery of the Multi-purpose Support Vessel (MPSV), POSH Mallard. This pioneering vessel has commenced its first charter in the waters off India, marking a significant milestone in the region's offshore support capabilities. Equipped with a state-of-the-art diesel electric propulsion system, DP2 dynamic positioning, and compliance with the SPS code, the POSH Mallard is adept at tackling a wide range of Inspection, Maintenance, and Repair (IMR) tasks. It boasts an impressive 120-tonne Active Heave Compensated (AHC) subsea crane and can comfortably accommodate up to 108 personnel. Following its delivery from PaxOcean Zhoushan Shipyard, the vessel was fitted with a fully motion-compensated Ampelmann A-Type Gangway, enhancing its capability to execute safe personnel transfers between the vessel and offshore locations. The POSH Mallard has embarked on its inaugural charter with a prominent international oil company off India's West Coast, where it is set to provide a 'walk-to-work' solution for maintenance teams throughout the offshore operation, projected to last until Q2 2018. This charter is notable, as it introduces the region's first motion-compensated gangway solution for offshore endeavors, having already facilitated over 2,500 personnel transfers in November alone. The introduction of POSH Mallard significantly enriches the POSH fleet and empowers the company to deliver enhanced services to its clients.
