On July 2, 2024, the crew of the 'Power Jet' notified the Port Authority of Thira of an engine malfunction during its scheduled journey from Heraklion to Thira, carrying 692 passengers. The vessel, which experienced a failure in one of its four main engines, adeptly navigated to Athenios port in Thira using its remaining power. Fortunately, all passengers disembarked safely upon arrival. In the wake of the incident, the Port Authority initially prohibited the ferry from resuming its schedule. However, after receiving a certificate of seaworthiness from the relevant classification society, the 'Power Jet' was cleared to continue operations, now functioning with three out of its four main engines.

On May 2, 2024, the ferry 'Power Jet' faced a temperature rise in one of its four main engines while navigating five nautical miles east of Aegina. The vessel, which was on its regular course from Piraeus to various Greek islands including Syros, Mykonos, Paros, Naxos, and Santorini, had a total of 1,106 passengers and a crew of 31 on board at the time. Demonstrating its operational resilience, the 'Power Jet' successfully sailed on its own power to the port of Syros. After undergoing a thorough inspection and receiving a seaworthiness certificate from the acting classification society, it was authorized to resume its journey, carrying 820 passengers towards its next destinations.

On August 4, 2023, the vessel 'Power Jet' encountered engine troubles shortly after its departure from Heraklion, bound for Thira. The incident led to an immediate sailing ban for the ship. Following necessary repairs and a thorough inspection from maritime classification authorities, the 'Power Jet' has since returned to its regular service schedule.
