The vessel had embarked on its journey with 55 passengers aboard, bound for Lavrio, when it experienced a malfunction with its vehicle ramp. Consequently, the ferry made an emergency return to the Port of Myrina. Following the return, the Local Ship Inspection Unit (TKEP) conducted a thorough inspection of the ship. The Central Port Authority of Heraklion received an urgent report from the ship's Master regarding a 61-year-old female passenger who was experiencing health complications. After a thorough examination by the onboard medical staff, it was determined she required hospital care as a precautionary measure. The ferry was making stops at several ports including Chalki, Diafani, Pigadion, Kasos, Sitia, and Anafi before reaching Heraklion. Upon arrival at the port, an ambulance was promptly dispatched to transfer the ailing passenger to the Regional University General Hospital of Heraklion for immediate treatment. Following the medical evacuation, 'Prevelis' continued on its intended itinerary without further incident.
