In a significant maritime incident, a vessel faced detention in Liverpool for a prolonged period of seventy-nine days, starting from June 11, 2012. The ship was held by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) due to serious deficiencies regarding its statutory certificates. The documents missing included essential safety certifications such as the Cargo Ship Safety Equipment Certificate, Cargo Ship Safety Construction Certificate, Cargo Ship Safety Radio Certificate, and other critical compliance certificates including the Document of Compliance (ISM), Safety Management Certificate (ISM), Load Line Certificate, Prevention of Pollution Certificate, International Air Pollution Prevention Certificate, and International Ship Security Certificate.
