What Crew Members Say About Propel-Grace

On May 18, 2022, the Bangladeshi lighter vessel 'Tamim' tragically sank while carrying a substantial load of 1,600 tons of wheat. The incident occurred in the Meghna estuary near Lakshmipur after the vessel struck an underwater obstruction. Fortunately, all 12 crew members were successfully rescued from the sinking ship, which is now sitting on the seafloor with its superstructure visible above the waterline. The lighter had recently unloaded its cargo, which arrived from the bulk carrier 'Propel Grace,' moored at Chittagong Anchorage since May 4.
