On January 31, 2022, the Port Authority of Volos received a report concerning an unfortunate incident involving a crew member aboard the 'Proteus'. The vessel had just arrived at the port when a 33-year-old crew member sustained an injury while disembarking vehicles. During the process of securing the inner door of the car deck, the crew member accidentally struck his head against a parked vehicle, leading to a fracture of the lower jaw. Following the incident, he was taken to the General Hospital of Volos via private means for a thorough medical examination. In response to the accident, the Central Port Authority of Volos has initiated a preliminary investigation to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident.
