Ramform-Hyperion Ship Details and Seafarer Feedback

On January 8, 2023, the seismic vessel 'Ramform Hyperion' bravely rescued 89 migrants, comprising 43 men, 21 women, and 25 children, including an infant under two years old, during its passage from Greece to Valletta. The small, overcrowded sailboat carrying these individuals was discovered early that morning. Following the encounter, the crew promptly communicated with the Italian Coastguard, who directed them to a meeting point situated approximately 20 nautical miles off the coast of Sicily. The migrants had endured a harrowing journey at sea lasting between eight to ten days. The transfer of the migrants to the Coastguard patrol boat 'CP 322' was executed successfully in the late afternoon. Upon arrival, the refugees were provided with essential shelter, nutritious food, and clean water, and all were reported to be in good health. After ensuring the wellbeing of the rescued individuals, the 'Ramform Hyperion' continued its voyage toward Malta.
