Tragic Work Accident Claims Life of Danish Contractor on A2SEA's Sea Jack
A tragic incident unfolded on Friday morning at the Keppel Verolme shipyard in Rotterdam, involving maintenance operations on the installation vessel SEA JACK, operated by A2SEA. A 43-year-old Danish worker from Peter Harbo A/S, based in Esbjerg, lost his life in an unfortunate work accident. Jens Frederik Hansen, the CEO of A2SEA, expressed deep sorrow, stating, "We are profoundly saddened to announce the death of one of our supplier's employees. We are currently awaiting further details as we investigate the circumstances of this accident." The family of the deceased has been notified, and A2SEA's Emergency Response Team is implementing established emergency protocols. A support team, including a crisis psychologist, has been dispatched to the SEA JACK to provide assistance to the onboard crew. In accordance with its safety standards, A2SEA will conduct a thorough inquiry into the accident with the help of an independent investigation unit, and the findings will be published in due course.
