On Wednesday, Kleven Verft, located in Norway, proudly announced the delivery of the MV Rem Eir, a groundbreaking LNG-powered platform supply vessel (PSV), commissioned by Remøy Shipping. Measuring an impressive 92.5 meters in length with a substantial deck area of 1,080 m², the Rem Eir is recognized as the largest LNG-powered PSV globally, as confirmed by Kleven. This state-of-the-art vessel features the advanced Wärtsilä Ship Design VS4412 DF PSV architecture, ensuring high efficiency and environmental sustainability. The Rem Eir has been secured under a long-term charter with Statoil, where it will serve in operations on the Norwegian continental shelf. Notably, this delivery marks the fourth PSV handed over by Kleven this year that has entered into a charter with Statoil, underscoring a strong partnership in maritime innovation.
