On June 10, 2023, the ferry 'Roesund', which operates on the Forøy–Ågskardet route, encountered significant issues with its main engine. Consequently, the vessel had to suspend its service until June 11 at 12:30 p.m. The ferry was docked in Forøy to address the mechanical problem. In the interim, passengers were offered alternative transportation via a RIB (rigid inflatable boat) service. This included departures from Ågskardet at 06:05 a.m. and return trips at 06:25 a.m., along with additional sailings from Ågskardet at 06:45 a.m. and 07:40 a.m. and from Forøy Camping at 07:05 a.m. and 08:00 a.m.

Anders Tøsse, Operations Manager at Torghatten Nord, addressed the Transport Committee on March 12 concerning the ferry operations on the Brattvåg–Dryna route. Tøsse highlighted the alarming number of cancellations involving reserve ferries, emphasizing the need for a more reliable service. Starting in May, the ferry 'Fykan' will replace 'Røsund' as the designated reserve ferry, promising to boost operational consistency alongside the main ferry 'Haram'. The previous reserve ferry had notably disrupted the regular schedulability of the service, which recorded an impressive 98.9% regularity in 2023 and slightly improved to 99.0% in 2024. However, 2025 has seen a spike in cancellations primarily linked to complications with the reserve vessel. Transitioning to 'Fykan' aims to enhance the overall reliability and effectiveness of the ferry services in this crucial transportation corridor.

On February 4, the ferry service operated by Torghatten encountered yet another round of technical issues affecting the 'Røsund', which operates between Dryna and Brattvåg. The first impacted departure was scheduled for 06:55 a.m. from Brattvåg, leading to subsequent delays for the 07:25 a.m. sailing from Dryna and the 07:55 a.m. trip back from Brattvåg. Passengers traveling today are urged to remain vigilant for updates regarding the ferry's schedule as the company works to resolve these ongoing technical problems.
