Bosphorus Collision Involves Two Russian Cargo Vessels
On the morning of September 25, 2021, a maritime incident occurred in the Bosphorus Strait involving two Russian cargo vessels, the m/v 'Tahsin Imamoglu' and the m/v 'Rusich 10'. Both vessels were navigating in a northern direction when they collided near Beykoz. The 'Rusich 10' was traveling from Rodaport to Taganrog, while the 'Tahsin Imamoglu' was en route from Diliskelesi to Eregli. Following the collision, the ships were assisted by the tugs 'Kurtarma 11', 'Kurtarma 14', as well as the support vessels 'Kiyem 5' and 'KEGM 3', and they managed to moor at Büyükdere anchorage. Damage was reported on both ships: the 'Tahsin Imamoglu' sustained hits on its port side foreship, while the 'Rusich 10' suffered damage to its starboard side.
