Saic-Anji-Phoenix Vessel Reviews and Specifications

On December 29, 2017, the car carrier 'Verona' experienced significant engine issues around 4 p.m. Shortly after departing from Vigo and en route to Tanger, the vessel was forced to anchor off Guarda, south of Vigo. In response to the emergency, the 'María Pita', a Maritime Rescue vessel operating in the Vigo estuary, was dispatched to assess whether the 'Verona' could continue its voyage or needed to be towed back to port. Additionally, the 'Pesca' helicopter from the Consellería de Mar took flight to assist in the operation. The 'Salvamar Mirach', another rescue vessel from Vigo, arrived on the scene at approximately 9:30 p.m., with a second ship following at 10:30 p.m. Fortunately, the dedicated crew aboard the 'Verona' managed to repair the engine issue, allowing the ship to resume its journey around midnight. The car carrier successfully reached Tanger on January 1, 2018, at 7:30 a.m.
