On July 1, 2017, the ferry "Samba" encountered an unexpected setback in Måløy when a large truck attempted to board but was too oversized for the vessel. The front section of the truck's trailer became wedged on the quay, rendering it immobile. Fortunately, a rescue vehicle from Falck came to the scene, successfully assisting in freeing the truck from the ferry. As a result of this incident, the ferry "Hornelen," which services the Måløy - Oldeide route, experienced a significant delay of three hours.
