In a maritime incident that occurred late on November 17, 2017, at 11:48 PM, the cargo vessel 'Carina' was involved in an allision with the central wall of the New Northern lock in Brunsbüttel. As the vessel was maneuvering to a stop within the lock, a strong gust of wind caused the stern to veer sharply to the port side.
