Working Conditions Aboard the Sea-Discovery

On February 15, 2019, the vessel 'Sea Discovery' encountered a cylinder leakage incident involving its main engine while navigating from Karlshamn to Bejaia. The occurrence took place approximately 5.5 miles southwest of Beachy Head at coordinates 50°39'50" N, 000°09'45" E. At the time, the ship was carrying a substantial cargo of 10,402 cubic meters of timber and had a crew of 13 members onboard. Following prompt repair efforts, the ship was back in operational condition by 3:10 a.m. and is now set to continue its journey, with an estimated time of arrival (ETA) in Bejaia projected for February 21.
